LACTATION SERVICES

In 2018, I became a Certified Lactation Educator. At the time, I was working for WIC and helped dozens of moms navigate the hills and valleys of breastfeeding their babies. Then, it came my turn to breastfeed. This should be no problem, right? I know the “answers”. But...it WAS a struggle. To keep the long story short, I experienced everything from latch difficulties, nursing strikes, nipple shield use, supply problems and weight gain issues all the way to exclusively pumping and eventually formula feeding before finding out it was all related to tongue ties. I know what it’s like to cry over my baby, wondering why this “natural” thing isn’t coming naturally to me. I know what it’s like to not have my breastfeeding journey look the way I wanted it to.

It is a tender, sacred, trying time as you navigate feeding your baby.
Please know, you don’t have to do this alone.

Let me help you trade the guilt for grace, mama.

My philosophy

In a black and white world, breastfeeding is best. Yep, we all know that. There is no arguing that baby humans were created to get everything they need from breastmilk. I love helping women have successful breastfeeding relationships for as long as they desire, and celebrate the victory of pushing through the difficult times to continue breastfeeding. But, this world isn’t black and white. I’m here to help you in the gray. In the confusing place of, “I know it’s best for my baby, but me trying to breastfeed is affecting my mental health”, or “I am overwhelmed trying to figure out what in my diet is making my baby scream and I can’t handle it anymore”, or “I can’t be tied to the pump for one more minute.” These are very real struggles and experiences, and I can help you reach your feeding goal whatever that may be.
